The African Women's Education Fund
is a grassroots not-for-profit organization qualified under section 501 (c)(3) whose mission is to educate young women in Africa. Rooted in the belief that the best way to attack poverty in the developing world is by educating women, AWEF is an undertaking administered by a volunteer Board of Trustees. As such, it addresses the educational needs of women attending secondary school and professional schools in Angola, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
